No matter what your needs, The Florida Woodsmith has a service that's just right for you. We will bring our 22 ton log splitter to your fallen or felled tree and leave you with enough firewood to keep you warm all winter long.

-On Site Splitting-
Do you have a fallen tree just sitting on your property to rot? The Florida Woodsmith will come to your property with log splitter in tow. We will quickly convert your log from a downed tree to a pile of firewood, ready for stacking. Our splitter uses a force equivalent of 12 full sized pickup trucks to quickly split even the knottiest of logs.
Upon service, me and a partner will come to your property and will work quickly and efficiently to convert your log into quality firewood in 16 inch standard pieces. In just a few hours we will have a large pile of firewood, ready for stacking.
Our charge is $60 per hour or $70 if bucking and cutting is needed. Two techs can split a significant amount of wood within that time, generally somewhere between a face-cord and half-cord per hour depending on type, leaving behind a large pile where a log once sat.
(Please Note: We have found that the interlaced grain of live oak and Sweet Gum tends to be much slower and harder to split, equating to less yeild per hour.)
If your tree is being professionally felled, you can save yourself alot of effort or money by having the tree service line the logs up next to the spot that you want the firewood. If you would like us to stack the wood for you, please account for the extra time taken to do so.
Travel up to 10 miles from jonesville is included. $1.00 per mile(one way) travel fee for out of range.
Since we tow our log splitter directly, an extra setup fee of $25 will be charged if you require us to move the logs from where they sit to another spot. To do this we will have to load our splitter onto an additional trailer and extra time is required for the loading, unloading and securing of equipment.
