Custom Milling
Hate the idea of that old tree being just hacked up for firewood? The Florida Woodsmith is primarily a sawmill service. I can come to your property and collect that log and return it as quality lumber cut to your specifications. I can custom cut lumber or slabs from your fallen or service felled trees, or from my supply of locally sourced and sustainably harvested logs. Have a project in mind? I'll do my best to cut your log to your exact needs. A single tree will usually yield enough lumber for most projects.
After milling, I’ll walk you through properly drying your lumber to help you get the best yield, for the lowest cost.

I’m proud to announce the addition of an Idry Vacuum Kiln to increase production to a new level.
By utilizing a vacuum, the idry reduces the boiling temperature of water to about 150°, while ramping up temperatures to 160°.
This revolutionary process rewrites the physics of drying lumber to sidestep safe drying limits while reducing drying defect for hassle free drying . The iDry boasts some of the shortest drytimes in the industry, just a few weeks.

Operating Hours.
I allow visitors by appointment. I'm currently onsite Tuesday’s through Saturday’s, and schedule visitors 12-5. If you would like to come check out my available supply, simply call, text, dm or email me to let me know what day/time works best for you and I’ll get you on the schedule and send the address.
As I am a single man company who occasionally works offsite, some days I may not be available.
